Record cheque & cash payments on the job card, so that you don’t lose track of them!
The payment button on the job card is perfect for recording cash or cheques that are handed to staff members.
If you have xero connected, ServiceM8 will tell Xero that payment has been received, so that the invoice shows as being paid, but until the cash or cheque actually drops into the bank account, xero will tell you that the payment itself is unreconciled.
This is perfect for making sure that the customer doesn’t get chased incorrectly for non-payment, but that if the cash or cheque goes missing before it gets to the bank, you’ll know.
