Running a business alongside the pressures of daily life can feel overwhelming at times. We all have phases where this feeling of overwhelm is greater than other times.
To help overcome this, start by looking at whether you’re actually giving yourself the time and space to actually take care of the tasks you know you NEED to complete each day.
You can use this time to do your scheduling – for that day, or the following days or weeks.
Consider having two blocks of time – one at the beginning and one at end of the day – perhaps one for processing enquiries and scheduling and one for taking care of invoicing.
The ServiceM8 Import calendar add-on makes this easy to do – by connecting your google, apple or another calendar, you can block this time out once, have it repeat to whatever schedule suits you and have that time automatically blocked out in your ServiceM8 calendar.
By doing this, you’re giving yourself space to focus on the tasks that impact your day the most.
You’re setting a boundary for yourself and others to say that this is your time and you’ll only be on the tools or speak to customers once you’ve had this time and you’re feeling on top of things.
As you practice setting this boundary, you’ll start to feel less overwhelmed and more in control.
Over time, you can then reduce the time needed, or spend this time finding improvements and efficiencies within your business to make your daily tasks easier and reduce the admin time needed further.
